The Wessington Springs Spartans competed Friday, April 10, at the Huron Relays, an event added to the schedule after the team’s first two outdoor meets were canceled.In girls field events, Anna Arhart placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 35 feet, 1½ inches to reach the finals.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Spartans traveled to Mitchell to participate in the DWU Indoor Meet.On the girls’ side, Kenzie Kolousek, Kendall Kolousek, Masynn Mebius and Ella Kolousek ran the 2-mile relay in 12:00.04. Aunnika Heumiller ran the 60m hurdles in 12.38.

Area youth wrestlers turned in a strong showing at the AAU state tournament held at the Sioux Falls Arena, with all six Pony Hills qualifiers earning podium finishes.
