The Wessington Springs Spartan boys golf team closed out another successful season with a fifth-place finish at the South Dakota Class B State Golf Tournament June 1-2 in Brookings, led by senior JD Thompson’s fifth-place individual finish.

State Success: Spartans Earn Four Medals, Rewrite Record Book

The Wessington Springs Spartans capped a successful season at the 2026 SDHSAA State Track and Field Meet May 28-30 at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls, bringing home four medals, multiple school records and top-25 team finishes in both the boys and girls divisions.
