Spartan Cross Country Leaders Keep Eyes on State

Junior runners Alexis Roesler and Ella Kolousek, along with senior Masynn Mebius, are leading a determined Wessington Springs crosscountry team that blends experience with new talent. Their goal: personal bests and a strong finish at the state meet in Huron.

Balanced Attack Leads Spartans to Sweep of Crow Creek

The Lady Spartans rolled past Crow Creek in straight sets Thursday, winning 25-7, 25-13, 25-10 to improve to 7-4 on the season.Jewel McGeough led with three kills, while Addyson Orth added two. Logan Mohling tallied 12 points, four aces and nine assists to pace Wessington Springs.

Bucks Dominate Webster, 53-0

The Woonsocket-Wessington Springs-Sanborn Central Bucks left no doubt Friday night, rolling to a 53-0 shutout victory over Webster behind a balanced offensive attack and a defense that swarmed from start to finish.Head Coach Michael Schmitz said he was pleased with the team’s energy out of the gate.
