The Wolsey-Wessington boys basketball team put together a productive stretch of games in December, earning two wins before closing the run with a road loss.The Warbirds opened the week by holding off a late rally from Iroquois-Lake Preston to earn a 52-50 win on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

Wolsey-Wessington split recent action with a 51-39 loss to Wessington Springs on Dec. 11 before earning a 55-34 win over Sully Buttes on Dec. 22, and will be back on their home floor for the Big Bo Classic on Dec. 30.

The Wessington Springs boys basketball team used balanced scoring and timely defense to secure a 64-58 win over Howard on Saturday, Dec. 20.The Spartans placed four players in double figures and leaned on strong shooting efficiency to fend off the Tigers down the stretch.

The Wessington Springs Spartan girls basketball team opened the 2025–26 season with a 51–39 win over Wolsey-Wessington on Friday night.The Spartans jumped out to a 13–4 lead after the first quarter, then weathered a scoring drought in the second before Masynn Mebius sparked the offense.
