Wessington Springs Punches Ticket to 2025 State B Tourney

With a convincing 75-49 SoDak 16 win over Timber Lake Tuesday, Wessington Springs secured their second-straight trip to the Class B state basketball tournament.During SoDak 16 action in Ft. Pierre, the Spartans displayed their depth to cruise past the Panthers.

Pony Hills Youth Wrestlers Heading to Regions

A large group of 14 Pony Hills wrestlers made their way across the mat at districts last week with a dozen of the local student athletes advancing to regions. Wrestlers will head to Wagner this weekend to compete at the regional level.

Winter Storm Prompts School Closure, Postponement of Region 2B Basketball Games

A storm that continued throughout Tuesday and brought hazardous driving conditions prompted the Wessington Springs School District to close on March 4, 2025.The Region 2B boys basketball games originally scheduled to be played in Wessington Springs Tuesday night were also postponed.
