Spartans host 281 Conference Cross-Country Meet

On Wednesday, August 7, 2022, Wessington Springs was the host site for the 281 conference cross-country meet. The meet started at 10 a.m. at the Springs Country Club. The top ten runners in each varsity race medaled and the top ten in the JV and JH races received a ribbon.

Tough Blackhawks loss Friday in Forestburg

This past Friday night, the Woonsocket/ Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Blackhawks were shutout by the McCook Central/Montrose Cougars 0-40 in Forestburg. Although the Blackhawks struggled in the first half, they improved during the second half.

Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central shut out the Golddiggers 38-0 Saturday at Sanborn Central High School in Forestburg. The Blackhawks scored in every quarter, improving to 2-1 in Class 11B play on the season.
