From heirloom china and treasured crystal to creative centerpieces and themed displays, the annual Festival of Tables has become about much more than table settings alone.
Events like Festival of Tables are often designed to bring people together through creativity, hospitality and community connection, while also offering inspiration and a chance to celebrate traditions that might otherwise stay tucked away in cabinets most of the year. Many table hosts use the event as an opportunity to showcase meaningful family pieces, seasonal décor or themes that reflect their personalities and memories.
The 13th annual Wessington Springs event raised funds for the local senior center.
Following another successful Festival of Tables at the Wessington Springs Senior Center, readers now have the chance to see each table in full color and try their hand at matching the decorators to their displays.
This year’s decorators included Cathy Perry, Beth Magistro, Jean Ferguson, Eva Voorhees, Sharon DiCarlo, Marianna Borkowski, Delia Atkinson, the Springs Area Community Club, Eileen Thomas, Paul DiCarlo, Susan Olson and a shared table by Cathy Perry and Jean Ferguson.
