Nominations for the sixth-annual Dakotafest Woman Farmer/Rancher of the Year Award are being sought by IDEAg Group LLC., the producers of Dakotafest. The nomination period ends June 6, 2025, and the award will be presented at Dakotafest.

Deanna Hasty, a welcoming presence in the Wessington Springs Elementary School library, has been named the 2024 Support Staff of the Year for the Wessington Springs School District.
