From the halls of WSHS we bring a new project our Artist’s corner. This project was completed last semester by Advanced Art Junior Alexis Roesler. She chose to paint a large ceiling tile that is now hanging in the grade school lunchroom to both inspire the next generation of Spartan runners and to also display her love for the sport of Cross Country. She began by drawing a more unique perspective to portray the sport of running. Then she mixed the colors needed and began to paint. Blending the skin tone of the runner was the most difficult part, but with time and patience she completed the look she wanted. Alexis finished the painting off by designing the runner’s shoes to show our blue and gold school colors. The final result turned out wonderful!
