Foothills News: “Cuppy’s Corner”

On Monday, April 27, 2026, Grandma had cocoa wheats, ½ of muffin, hard boiled egg, and chocolate milk for breakfast. Then she had roast beef dinner which was delicious. Cindy drove down to Springs after a meeting in Huron. She and Grandma enjoyed a full afternoon of visiting and played BINGO.

Greetings, It is hard to believe but we are quickly approaching the end of the 2025-26 school year. There are many things going on in our schools. In all of our schools we are doing the Smarter Balanced testing that is required by the South Dakota Department of Education.

On Monday, April 20, 2026, dinner was hamburger and tater tots. Grandma played BINGO and won. Becky stopped and we got a birthday card ready for Evelyn Moralez, who works in the kitchen. Becky then took Grandma outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.

WSHS Spring Play Kills

This past weekend the WSHS Students held the play “Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion,” a comedic murder mystery by Ian McWethy. Under the guidance of Director Katie Jackson, the cast performed three times over the course of two days: Friday April 17 and Saturday April 18.

On Monday, April 13, 2026, there were Dominos played in the morning and then after lunch, Grandma got her fingernails painted. There was some afternoon music by Carolyn & Teresa.On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, breakfast was cocoa wheats, donut, and chocolate milk.

On Monday, April 6, 2026, Grandma ate breakfast cream of wheat, hard boiled egg, and blueberry muffin with a glass of chocolate milk. Grandma has been enjoying her tulips from Brian, Jullie, Carlie, and Berklie Bell. Grandma won 5 times at BINGO. Candi stopped out to visit.

Monday, March 30, 2026, Grandma had a good breakfast of cocoa wheats with raisins and a blueberry muffin. Cindy stopped in as she was helping Grandma get things finished up in the apartment. She ordered a new video chat frame for me, as well.

Monday, March 23, 2026, Grandma Darleen was up early. She had a whirlpool bath before breakfast, where she enjoyed an egg and a pastry. Grandma enjoyed the afternoon BINGO. For supper she had scalloped potatoes and ham. Becky stopped out after track practice.
