On Tuesday, June 2, Becky worked at the Ag Building for the election. On Wednesday, June 3, Grandma enjoyed BINGO. On Thursday, June 4, the Owls had their first home game at David Jost Memorial Field. The game was delayed by the weather, and the Owls were ahead 3-0.

“Your” Wessington Springs Carnegie Library is planning a busy summer, with facility improvements, a community survey, expanded digital lending opportunities and the return of the “Unearth a Story” summer reading program in July.

Have you noticed anything different around the library? Recently, a security camera was added, and our gutters have been cleaned out, and gutter guards have been installed. Starting this summer, the library will be undergoing updates to our heating and air conditioning system and basement lighting.

On Monday, May 18, 2026, Grandma had oatmeal with raisins, half a muffin, and chocolate milk. For lunch she ate roast beef, potatoes and gravy, carrots, and another glass of chocolate milk. There was BINGO in the afternoon.

On Monday, May 11, 2026, Grandma was able to go to the whirlpool bath before breakfast. At breakfast, grandma ate cocoa wheats, muffin, and a hard-boiled egg. After lunch she enjoyed the Mother’s Day program and then some angel food cake.

Dear Editor, Thanks for posting in the True Dakotan e-newsletter last Friday the upcoming performance of an illusionist at the Opera House. What a fine evening that made.I drove up from Mitchell, had a great shrimp meal in Springs and was very well entertained at a magic show. Awesome.

On Monday, May 4, 2026, Grandma enjoyed playing BINGO. Becky took the JH track kids to Huron for their track meet. The elementary concert was tonight. Grandma would still like to get the school channel here but understands she can’t control it.
