Small towns are a quintessential part of America. I recently visited Wessington Springs to meet with your community leaders and check the pulse of your town. These meetings are crucial to ensure all towns are represented in Washington, D.C., no matter the size.

Greetings all! We were recently dispatched to a local restaurant for a “choking victim.” Shortly after that, we were notified that “CPR was in progress.” UH OH! We arrived on scene six minutes after the page, and the patient was breathing on his own. Thank God!

Look forward to reading about hometown happenings True Dakotan, I am a former Jerauld County/Wessington Springs native and graduated from the Fauston School in 1948. I am 88 years young and still in good health.

MY NEXT THIRTY YEARS

I was 30 years old when Tim McGraw released the song with the same title as this article. It’s a great anthem for a person’s middle years of life. I can’t say I followed it too well, though. I still stay up late and don’t eat enough salads.
