“Persistent” Coyote is Frequent Visitor Within City Limits

In response to multiple, recent sightings of a coyote inside the city limits of Wessington Springs, the Jerauld County Sheriff’s Department shares prevention tips to keep residents and pets safe. While coyote attacks against grown humans are rare, coyotes should be avoided and treated with caution.

On President’s Day 2024, the Wessington Springs Elementary School gymnasium and newly constructed Rec Center were transformed into a shopping and educational mecca for Farm, Home and Health Show attendees thanks to recent Wessington Springs High School (WSHS) graduate, Avery Orth.
