Community effort retires ambulance debt; Senior Center funds final payment

What was expected to be a 15-year loan has been paid off in just two years thanks to community support, local fundraising efforts and a final donation from the Wolsey Senior Citizen Center Incorporated.

Rodeo Legacy Lives on In Wessington Springs Family

Rodeo is a deep-rooted legacy for the Owen and Shannon Fagerhaug family.Grandpa Lennis competed in calf roping while traveling the pro-rodeo circuit playing bass in the Kyle Evans and the Company Cowboys Band. (Evans is a stage name. Kyle and Lennis are brothers.

New attractions join Leap to Lane lineup for 2026

One of Jerauld County's favorite summer traditions returns Saturday, June 20, as the Leap to Lane celebration promises a full day of family activities, food, entertainment and community fun.Activities for the day are kicked off at 1:50 p.m.

Water Main Replacement Project Reaches 17 Percent Completion

Construction continues to move forward on Wessington Springs' water main replacement project, with crews completing several key portions of the work and remaining on schedule for a July completion.
