On Monday, I wrote my news, my daughter Candi Sails helped me. Delia picked it up from my hospital room. She brought me 4 frosted cookies; three snowmen and one deer, they are so cute! In the evening, Becky Bell-Krueger stopped to visit.

Greetings from the Wessington Springs School District.At this time at the Wessington Springs Schools, all the students are excited for the Holiday break that will begin soon. On Friday, December 19, school will be dismissed at 12:30 pm for the holiday break.

I am in the Wessington Springs Hospital as I write my news this Monday morning – being treated for infection in my varicose veins.I had beef stroganoff, carrots and sauce on Monday, and I worked on my Christmas letter.Tuesday Pastor Cheri stopped in to visit. I had a chicken dinner and carrot cake.

Ode to Frank

If I’m being truthful, I thought I was going to get to most of the following content the first week I started my hunting and fishing stories. You would think I would know better by now.

Hunting Stories

Last week I shared some (there are many more) of mine and my family’s fishing stories. I omitted some as I ran out of space per my usual. I have of course newer ones with my kids that may not have as many whoppers in them but I’m not kidding that I grab the net almost every time they get one on.

I wrote my news Sunday evening. Delia got it Monday forenoon. I enjoyed the roast beef dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen.Tuesday my daughter Cindy Zenk of Webster came to drive me to Mitchell for my 10:30 a.m. appointment to have my eyes checked by Dr. Krall.

Today is December 1st, the start of a very busy and very exciting month!I wrote my news Monday morning, and Delia got it later in the forenoon. I enjoyed the hamburger, fries and sauce from the Manor kitchen.Tuesday was a very blustery day! I enjoyed the ham dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen.

I wrote my news Sunday night because Monday will be so busy. Loni Reindl comes at 11 a.m. to give me a massage on my neck and shoulder. Also, Home Health Kristy comes at 12:15 p.m. and Christy Olinger will come at 1 p.m.Tuesday, I enjoyed the chicken dinner and carrot cake from the Manor kitchen.

A Different World

It sure is a different world now than the one I grew up in. While I could be talking about our phones, electric cars, or how much of the world is obsessed with social media, I am not. I’m talking about habitat, after all this is Conservation Corner and I am the Habitat Man.
